About Thowl Games
We make learning tactile, social and joyful.
Thowl Games creates screen-free educational games that encourage children to think, speak, listen, build, imagine and collaborate. Designed for homes, classrooms, language labs and activity spaces, our games turn learning into active, social and meaningful play.
How it started
A difficult grammar lesson became a game.
The idea began when founder Mohammad Imran used coloured sticky notes to represent parts of speech while helping his son understand grammar. Moving and combining the notes changed the mood of the lesson: confusion gave way to curiosity, and practice began to feel like play.
That small experiment eventually became Language Quest Adventure after repeated testing, prototyping and refinement. It also shaped a wider belief—that children often learn more willingly when ideas become visible, physical and social.

The founder
Created by Mohammad Imran
Mohammad Imran is a social-work professional and creator of participation-based learning games. His approach combines observation, practical problem-solving and a belief that children learn more deeply when they are actively involved.
He develops each idea by studying how children respond to a task, then refining the rules, materials and classroom format until the activity is easy to understand, enjoyable to repeat and meaningful for both learners and educators.
Our design principles
What guides every Thowl game
Play with purpose
Every game should create genuine participation while strengthening useful skills.
Children as active learners
Players make choices, explain ideas and learn from one another—not only from instructions.
Screen-free by design
Tactile components and face-to-face interaction remain central to the experience.
Flexible for repeated use
Games should offer changing challenges, outcomes and possibilities rather than feel like a one-time activity.

From idea to classroom
How we develop a game
A Thowl game begins with a learning need and is refined until the activity is clear, practical and enjoyable to repeat.
Observe the need
We begin with a real learning difficulty, participation gap or classroom objective.
Build the first format
Cards, dice, cubes, boards or other hands-on components are selected according to the activity.
Test and simplify
Rules, instructions and components are refined through practical play and observation.
Prepare for repeated use
The final design is organised for easy setup, changing outcomes and use at home or in classrooms.
